Wedding arrangements & the allure of classical wedding rings

Having enjoyed a wonderful Easter break, many happy couples are looking to book their wedding arrangements for the year ahead. With a date, a venue, two wedding rings and various other items to organise, it’s fair to say that the process can be a rather overwhelming one! Here’s some advice to ease the workload…

Some couples like to buy their wedding rings as soon as possible, whereas others prefer to wait once the date and venue have been confirmed. Whatever your approach may be, our classical platinum wedding rings have been a popular choice amongst customers since our Hatton Garden store first opened in 1995. Having been linked to the jewellery trade for over 60 years, the Rennie family has always valued the importance of tradition in fine jewellery and other high quality pieces. Whether attracted to the subtle design of the bands or their excellently polished finish, we are sure that you will fall in love at first sight.

Classical platinum wedding rings aside, the date of your wedding is a particularly important decision! June, August, September and October tend to be the most popular months, with January, February, and March less common due to the often distasteful weather. That being said, couples may find themselves more successful in avoiding the premium that the hot weather ultimately brings, freeing up their budget for other wedding necessities. If you have a honeymoon in mind, it’s definitely worth checking the local temperature at that time of year given the tendency of many couples to fly out a couple of days after tying the knot.

At this point in the process, you will probably have a better idea as to the month in which you would like to wed. Next, the venue – is it going to match the tone of your classical platinum wedding rings or be a little bit more contemporary in setting? Very often, the ceremony venue is determined by the religious beliefs of the couple, with the reception moving on to a more relaxed location. We are blessed to be able to hear about our customer’s wonderful wedding plans on a day to day basis. A theme that runs common in a number weddings is the selection of a reception venue that means something special to the two partners. Perhaps the place where they first met, went on a memorable trip or shared some fantastic memories!

All of our classical platinum wedding rings can be tried on in store or viewed online here.
